Beach.

Beaaaaaach!! We had such a great time at the beach while I was in AL, it was my first real sun exposure for the summer, and Tyler and I both got some bad sunburns...but it was worth it. Kayla is the other lady in these photo's, Tyler's awesome sister (one of my bridesmaids!) We swam in the wonderful cool ocean, and laid out on the warm sand; perfection.

I'm back now, and I'm sorry I haven't been posting a bit more. I hurt my neck and so I've been laying in bed a lot. I'm feeling better now though, so I will be back to the ol' posting.

We're headed to see the new X-Men movie tonight (I've actually never seen an X-Men movie before so it'll be an experience) with some friends, so that should be fun. My biology class starts on Monday, so I'm planning on fitting in a lot of relaxing in this weekend.

A week of celebration

Alright, so here I'm today in Mobile hangin' out with Ty's family, and I'm keeping my word and actually doing a blog post!

So, as I've said earlier, this past week has been a wonderful one, fully of family and celebrating my sister Sarah's graduation and birthday. Sadly, I haven't taken a whole lots of pictures, but I do have some from Sarah's graduation.

Sorry I still haven't fixed my picture sizing, that's still on the to-do list. Sarah looks so lovely in her graduation garb, doesn't she?

So after all the excitement of graduation and her birthday, I decided I was going to take the plunge and learn how to sew. I already know, and when I was younger I actually did quite a bit, but I haven't in several years, and so my mom and my sister gave me a little bit of a crash course. Sadly, the dress I started was very ambitious so I'm having to leave it at home so my Mom can help me with it when I return in a week or so. I decided I needed to practice in between that time so I have gotten several super simple patterns (all on sale for $1 yay!) and am planning to make a blouse this week. Wish me luck, I know I'll need it.

I'll try to take some pictures these next three days and do some more blogging, hopefully show you all a bit of my blouse I'll be constructing.

I'm off to conquer cutting out a pattern by myself!

It's been a while

I'll start this post out by apologizing. I've been gone...what...a week? Eek. Sorry for the lack of blogging this past week, I've been enjoying the comforts of home in Nashville, doing little wedding things, and celebrating the graduation and birthday of my sister Sarah. I'm headed to Mobile (in about 30 minutes actually) today, and so I can't do a proper post at the moment, I just wanted to check in and say I'm alive. I'll try to be back tonight or tomorrow with a proper post.

This is my sister Hannah and Sarah and me at graduation! Yay for Sarah!

I hope that you all have had a delightful week, and I can't wait to catch up in my blogging and reading of blogs this weekend.

Done!

I'm donnnneee! Well, for a short time, but still! I get to enjoy almost two weeks of pure laziness. Tomorrow is Sarah's graduation, and I can't wait to be with all my family and celebrate!

Last night I was a bit bored (I actually got to be bored!) and so I painted my finger nails one of my favorite colors from china glaze.

Strawberry blond

Last night I decided to try to lighten my hair without bleaching it. I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but with the help of my dear friend Shannon, we did it! I wanted a bit more of a strawberry blond color for summer, and I'm really pleased that my hair actually lightened! I may try to go lighter later on, but for right now I'm very pleased. Shannon also trimmed up my hair, and fixed my bangs I had mangled a tad.

Finals will be over Thursday, yay! Also, my little sister Sarah graduates from high school this Saturday, and I can't wait to be there to see her. After school is over Ty and I are going to visit my family for a bit then heading down to Mobile to see his family. Breaks are wonderful.

Inspiration for the week

It has been weirdly cold and rainy here...ick. I actually wore tights and layers the other day. Come back summer! Here are a few outfits that are quite summery.

I'm really loving simply looks for the summer, and I think all these lovely outfits embody that simplicity.

This is the week of finals, and needless to say I'm super excited that school is almost out and really trying to find the motivation to study for finals. After finals week is past me, I wanting to do a little more work on my blog. Some of my pages aren't really working correctly and I'm wanting to figure out how to make all my pictures the same size and maybe start hosting them somewhere like flikr. Any who, back to writing an essay.

Friday Favorites // Last Day of Classes!

I'm so glad Blogger is back up and running. Though for some strange reason it deleted some of my comments on previous blog posts...weird.

 1. I love this vest. I think Ty would look awesome wearing it...or I would wear it myself.

 2. Pinterest. I've recently started using it, I have a long way to go creating albums, but it's pretty neat.

3. I want a pair of Swedish Hasbeens soooo badly. Sadly, they are super expensive.

4. I've been thinking of going a tad lighter with my color. Maybe something like Hannah's?

5. I've decided this should be my bathing suite for the summer.

I'm so happy today because I just went to my last class of the semester! Yay! I still have finals, but classes are over.

Hope you all having a fantastic weekend!
