Freddies of Pinewood's Jeans: Reviewed

I have been lusting over Freddies of Pinewood's jeans for a while, so I decided to take the plunge and get a pair. I bought the Classic Indigo and ordered a 26" waist. It's usually very difficult for me to find high waisted well fitted pants. I have a 26" waist and a 41" hip, quite the difference. I'm happy to conclude that these pants actually fit. They are a bit snug, but going up a size would have made them look silly at the waist, I think, as they are VERY high waisted pants.

The denim is wonderful; soft and dark and the pants are very well made. The one small problem I had was that they still gapped just a little (shown in the pic below). This is a problem I have a lot so it doesn't bother me a ton. When I laid the pants down the measurement taken flat was 13" at the waist and 19" at the hip, which was a nice difference I thought.

All together I would say this style of pant fit very well. I can't speak for their different styles of jeans though. I have also been wanting a pair of their dungarees, but I think I would size up to a 28" waist in those to ensure a looser fit in the hip area.
I think if you are worried about the waist to hip ratio go with your waist size at least with these style of jeans. As long as your waist to hip ratio is no bigger than a 15" ish difference you should be fine.

A Little Dita

I had somebody suggest that I do a set like Dita Von Teese's on my last post, so I got inspired and watched some interviews and looked at photos. This morning I did an experiment set, and I think it worked well! Super easy, and it's nice and sleek looking.

There's new electric being run in our apartment (it's super old so they're doing some up dating) so Ty and I are staying with my parents for a couple days. My siblings are off for spring break, so it's nice to be able to spend time with them, it feels like when I first graduated college.

Feels Like Summer

I wore this outfit out last night for a little date night with my hubby. It really felt like summer! It's been close to 80 degrees here in Nashville, whooo. I'm really enjoying it.

Sorry for my un-styled hair. I blew it out (my hair is naturally very curly) thinking I would do something...and then I just didn't feel like it. So it's a weird wavy straight-ish, oh well. Isn't this top super cute though! Sweet Quincy from Q's Daydream gave it to me. I can see wearing it on many a warm summers day.

And a crazy picture just for good measure.

I ordered a pair of Freddie of Pinewood jeans, and I'm very interested to see how they'll fit. I'll make sure to let you all know. I'm nervous, but they look so cute I just couldn't resist!

I hope you all are having a lovely weekend!

Wedding: The Reception

Here's my last installment of our wedding. Our reception was wonderful. We had The Kernel do the music, and it could not have been more perfect. Lots of food and dancing and talking to people. An evening I'll always remember.

And then there was dancing!

Then it was time to leave.

 And that was our wedding!

Wedding: The Ceremony

We had the wedding and reception in the same venue. A neat old building in downtown Nashville call Avenue. It was the perfect place, lovely and old, and completely bare so we could transform it into what we wanted. Being a music major in college and having a love for everything older, I knew my music choices would reflect that. The bridesmaids/groomsman walked down to Moon River and I walked down the aisle to Somebody To Watch Over Me (that song makes me melt every time) played by a string quartet.

 And we were married!

P.S. one more Wedding post coming your way (you'll get to see us rockin' out at the reception)

Wedding: People We Love

These are photos of all the lovely people who were in the wedding and our families, whom we love so dearly.

My lovely bridesmaids. They are all so dear to me. From left to right: Sarah, my darling sister. Kayla, my new amazing sister! Rachael, my loving wonderful friend. Hannah, my other lovely sister. All of my bridesmaids wore vintage dresses we found here in Nashville at a local vintage shop. They also wore vintage gloves. I just didn't like the idea of making all the girls wearing one dress that wouldn't look flattering on all of them. So we went hunting for beautiful vintage dresses that would look lovely on each of them.

Tyler had amazing groomsmen. From left to right: Blake, Josh (his brother), Zach, and Caleb.

Kayla and Josh-Tyler's amazing siblings (now mine too!)

I love this photo of Tyler and his Dad.

All my siblings gathered together! Hannah, Sarah, David, and Jesse.

My beautiful mother. She wore a lovely 50's dress for the wedding.

My father will hate that these next two photos are online, but they are amazing candid shots of him and his mother, and I just love them:
