Getting Back On Track

Thank you all so very much for your sweet and encouraging comments on my last post. It really meant so much to me and actually got me progressing more towards getting out of my slump.
I've made a hair appointment for this Monday and I'm hoping that will give me a new outlook on my appearance and make it less of a daunting task styling my hair. That is one big way I'm going to beat my slump I think. I also started really looking at inspirational photos and blogs I love that inspired me stylistically. Not that I didn't already but with the mind set of "what could I take away from this".

I went to the Porter Flea today with Quincy and had a lovely girls day, which I think helped imensely. It was followed by my hubby coming home from a trip for work, which was such a huge pick me up. Altogether, things are looking up for old Liz Lemon (ok, sorry 30 Rock reference). But really, things are looking up.

  5. The ironic thing is, you are an inspiration to others. I look to you for hair, makeup and outfit inspiration.

From and outsiders perspective you look gorgeous and radiant, but I promise I know how a nightmare hair situation can knock self-esteem. One of my friends once said about a hairstyle: it is like an outfit you have to wear every single day.

Best of luck getting out of your funk. Try good food, exercise, sleep and sunshine. I always find "projcects" are good. It gives you a little something to work on and towards, giving you something to focus on and get excited about.

    Big hug.

  16. Seriously, do you just have all the best jumpers? I think so! I LOVE this outfit. Sassy, cute, all my favorite adjectives apply.

I'm so glad you're getting out of your slump. Coincidentally I managed to have a few decent hair days in a row and wonder if my own piss-off about my hair is transitioning into an okay phase... I swear hair can do that so quickly. Go from good to horrid or bad to okay. lol Anyway, I hope your haircut today makes you feel even better!

  19. Erin, thanks for your comment on my blog - I love your hair too!! I've gone through phases where I don't see anyone on the street to photograph, and my own outfits don't seem very interesting, and I usually take a bit of a break until I get my mojo back. I love your 40's look and you have a great eye for putting together outfits.
