I was so excited for Valentine's Day this year. My little preschool class was having a super awesome party with lots of sweets (which sadly I couldn't have, ha) and I was going to go all out for my outfit. I don't really have a red dress, well I do but not the right kind of red for Valentine's, so I just went with frilly and lots of lovely color.
I decided to really focus on my hair for a nice festive look. All the little girls loved it, in fact I even shared my blue flower and did one of my student's hair. If you follow me on instagram (emmyrenee is my username) you've probably seen it. However, I think the large flowers frightened some of the boys, which was actually quite funny.

ReplyDeleteFantastic! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous!! I really love the vibrant pop of the flowers with the snood; reminds me of Frida Kahlo!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair, it's a work of art! Gorgeous dress as well :)

What Lola Wants
You already know my love for this ensemble but I shall say it again - you look so adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love how the huuuuuge flowers contrast with your very delicate facial features. The earrings are a cute touch too. Oh! And the little pops of red in your nails/lips/snood/shoes!
There's so much going on with this outfit but you pull it off so well - you make me want to be more adventurous with my colour choices.
Glad you had a lovely valentines - have a lovely week :) x
What a lovely hairstyle!!!! Snood and flowers can easily create a gorgeous vintage look!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is AMAZING. (:
ReplyDeleteOh wow... Frida Kahlo meets Heidi! I love it. Your students are lucky to have such a fun teacher.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask a weird question?
Are you wearing violet face powder?
You have an ethereal glow. Almost bluish. It's gorgeous!
That's not weird at all! No I'm not actually, however I do have a specific way I highlight my face and a certain kind of eye shadow I like to use to brighten my eyes up. Glad it's working!
DeleteYou are such a doll! xox
ReplyDeleteAww, super sweet! I always get a tad jealous when I see your outfit posts dressing up for school - I would love to have a workplace that encouraged dress-up days! My mum is a teaching aid and I always love seeing what she wears to themed days too. It's not that I don't create my own outfits for special occasions, but I generally have to be quite subtle...
ReplyDeleteI love flower crowns and applaud you for being able to seamlessly pull them off!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely :) I bet the little girls loved having their hair done - my niece who is 3 loves having her hair done!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable, love the dress xx
ReplyDeleteSo terrifically sweet, beautiful and festive! I love it when one interprets a holiday's colour palette/theme in an "outside of the box" manner. For my Valentine's outfit post this year, I opted for a 1940s look in shades of black (velvet, for extra romance), dusty pink and alluring burgundy.

LOVE the hair so much, E! It's absolutely chic and fabulous! I got to do mine "fancy" 50s style for a vintage event last night...I wish I could manage that hairdo every day. My kids in Kindergarten gave me some strange looks though :) Glad you had an enjoyable day :)
