At the Zoo

Most of this week my hubby has been out of town. I've had a few days of spring break (since only one of the preschools I teach at is having spring break this week, the other one next week) and so my wonderful family went on a jaunt to the Nashville Zoo. I went a few times as a child (though I remember preferring the Memphis Zoo), so I was super pumped to be going once again with almost all my family. Sorry Ty, I promise we'll go again this spring!( He's been wanting to go to the Zoo since we moved to Nashville.)

I'm trying to be a better blogger and take my camera with me when I go somewhere. Here's hoping I'll remember more often!
It was a lovely day, even though it was a tad chilly. Our Tennessee weather has been jumping around like crazy, going from 75 to 43. I'm more of a winter person myself, but I find myself actually longing for spring and summer. Come on Tennessee, make up your mind!

xo,
Em

This post makes me want to visit our local zoo, too! Especially the flamingos...

  3. I'm jealous! I've been pestering Keith to go to the zoo with me for weeks now. He keeps saying, "When it warms up." :)

It's so hard to remember to bring the camera, isn't it? I always want to see the world as it is, rather than through a lens.

Would love to go to an American zoo. When you go over here all the animals just look cold and sad in the rain :( x

  7. Great pictures! I love how it seems like you're in there with them as opposed to taking the photos through bars. That meerkat is adorable! He's just chillin'. LOL

  20. What an awesome outing! I just love going to the zoo as well (though there isn't one around these parts for hundreds of miles, so I can only guess as to when I'll get to one next) - the spring and early fall are the best time to do so if you ask. You can enjoy seeing the animals in the beautiful sunshine, but don't have to worry about getting sunburned or completely knocked out by the heat like in the summer.
