Plaid and Purple

It's the third day of March and I'm off for a snow (read: ice) day. I won't complain because I was feeling in great need of a recharging day, but I'm saddened that it doesn't feel like spring. Spring is something I'm looking forward to immensely.
Here's the first proper outfit post with my new hair (taken a week or so ago...when it was feeling much warmer):

I'm so thrilled with this new 'do. It's almost entirely my natural hair color as well. There are still some dark spots left, but those will be gone as soon as I go for a trim. It has also helped me get a bit out of this funk I've been in for while. It's freshened up my fashion point of view.

  3. I have a very similar pixie, and it's really remarkable the lift it gives you. It's just hair, but it's SO MUCH MORE! You're beautiful with whatever hair!

  4. You are so gorgeous!! Love that dress and your new 'do. Oh, and that red lip color looks fabulous on you! What shade is it? I've been wanting a red lip color that is a bit more on the orange side.

  5. Beautiful dress, and I love the matching tights.
Your hair looks fantastic - I've already been inspired by your previous hair cut to get a bob (soon!).. I wouldn't be surprised if I came out with a pixie instead!

  6. Your hair looks so pretty! I wore my hair short like that for many many years and really loved it.

  7. Such a cute dress! You look great. We've been stuck inside most of this winter in Kentucky and it's got me so stir crazy I'm so close to shaving my head again. Your haircut just makes me even more tempted!

  12. Oh, you look lovely! That dress is divine (I love blue and purple) and your new haircut is so striking! I don't think a pixie cut would ever work on me but it's so amazing on you.

  13. That short cut rocks on you! I'm excited to see the other fashions you'll pair with it. Short hair really does change your perception of style - I felt awkward wearing anything with a collar for months in fear of loving like a boy. haha It seems pretty dumb now! This dress is absolutely to die for!

  14. Seriously lovely! There is something strikingly springtime-y about the combo of a short-sleeved plaid dress and a short, gorgeous 'do like this. Much like on your end, winter is hanging on here as well. We got several more inches of snow this past weekend and the scene outside still resembles a Christmas card far more than an Easter one! Hopefully spring will return on both our ends reall soon!

  18. Lovely pictures of you with your awesome new 'do'…..love the fact it also looks a little wavy. Yes it's very therapeutic to get years of colouring finally chopped out too. Totally agree with Rachel P above, it may just be hair but it's also much more in terms of how it can transform how you feel as well as how you look.

  25. This is a perfect outfit. I want to sew something similar from a light blue fabric with boats pattern and am looking for an inspiration, I think I just found what I was looking for. Thank you!
