Chanel and Poirot

I had a couple questions about the comfort of wearing a bullet bra and girdle in every day life. As I have still not ordered a girdle I can't really say about that, but I'm really loving my bullet bras. They are super comfy, no different from modern bras really, and they make me feel wonderful. So if any of you were wondering I would totally recommend them.

My lovely future-sister-in-law got me this wonderful Chanel lipstick for my birthday, and I've been wearing it every day. I really love it because it's nice and matte and doesn't smear all over the place.

Today is our last full day in Mobile, so we're going out for some tasty Thai food and going to see The Help. It'll be the second time seeing it for us, but it's so good we'll enjoy it a second time around. Have any of you seen it yet?

Also! Tyler bought me the first season of Poirot and I can't wait to watch it all! I've loved the show since I was a child :).

  5. I've worn a girdle and they're really not bad! The kind I have is mainly elastic panels, plus it has little stocking suspenders built in :) Just make sure you get the proper size; trying to squeeze into one that's too small is *really* uncomfortable and will give you ugly roll lines, even if you're not fat! The point is to give that smooth foundation, not to compress yourself :)

  16. I saw 'The Help' and thought it was kind of a bore! I did read the book though, so maybe that was why... I still loved Celia though.

  18. I love your skirt! And the scarf in your hair is so cute. Doesn't Chanel make the nicest lipstick? I have a few Chanel lipglosses (all gifted to me, sadly most of my cosmetics are from a different end of the scale, heh) and it's so nice how long-lasting they are.

Ah Poirot! I love him. And Miss Marple! All of the sets and costumes are so wonderful.

  27. Bullet bras is the best! I have some vintage girdles and some repro models, I like it both. And a girdle is so nice to wear, I feel very nice when I do! :)

  34. I wear a girdle, usually Playtex 18-hour high waist, and stockings all the time and it's very comfy and supportive though it will take you a while to get used to it and it really does the job too. You'll find yourself sitting up straighter, bending with your kness, moving and walking differently, more glam like, and you'll develope better posture too. Love the blog, thanks.
