Hair Tutorial: Rag Curls

Ok, so here's my first hair tutorial. I'm sorry the video quality is so poor, I just did it on my mac book. I really want to try to keep doing tutorial's, but I want to make sure I get an actual camera next time. Also, I get a little confused with which is my right and left because the video was opposite on the screen, haha so I kind of stumble along at some points.
I hope that this is helpful for anybody who wants to do a super simple vintage hair style.

xo,
 Em

  1. Yay fantastic thank you for this! I think we have almost exactly the same kind of hair, including the semi grown out fringe (bangs). Will definitely give this a go!

  6. I wondered how you sleep on your hair after you have rag curled. I tried pin curls, wonderful that day, but after I had slept on them they turned really...yack and frizzy and not at all nice!x

  12. Great tutorial girl! I really want to try this now. I did have a question though, my hair is really super beyond thick, but it is completely straight. Like can barely hold a curl with tons of hairspray. Do you think I need something else besides the leave in conditioner you used?
    Thanks!

  13. Later on this month I'm going to be bobbing my hair once more. Do you think rag curling would work with a bob? (http://thevintagedame.blogspot.com/2011/09/kieras-bob.html)
That's the one I'm going to get.

  14. Wild Flower: Setting lotion is always a good thing to set curls. I have heard that Lottabody is a great one, I have never tried it as my curls stay put, but maybe that would work for you.

Sean MacKenzie: Ohh, that's adorable! I think rag curls should still work with that. Pin curls might work better for staying power and would be a more controlled look.

  16. Thanks! :) I love it. Hmmm, well I might try both and see how it works. Though I might try and pick up that new product you reviewed to help keep the hold.
