I told you all I dyed my hair basically black and now you can reaaally see it.
I watched a tutorial about how Marilyn Monroe had her make up done, and I incorporated some of the things in my own make up so I felt very Marilyn with black hair today, ha.

It's hard getting used to how dark it is, but I think I like it. It's for sure a change, and I'm all for changes with my hair.
Do you like to experiment with your hair or do you like to play it safe?

Em
Wow you 100% suit black hair! It looks fantastic. And I love your Marilyn inspired make up, in fact I'm going to go and check out some tutorials myself!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely stunning with your hair black! It works very well with your coloring. And as an aside, your eyebrows are what dreams are made of.
ReplyDeleteI had the realization today that I've been coloring my hair red (as a filler before going brown) for nearly half a year now after being almost white blonde for eight or so months.
You look beautiful, but it's a bit of a shock seeing this pop up in my blogger! :P (but the best kind of shock) i really like changing adn I'm itching for a change lately, I'm glad you took teh plunge. Could you tell me what tutorial you used? Your make-up is stunning! xo
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous! i love the dark hair on you. don't think i could pull off any other hair color than my natural one, but love to see other people do it!

ReplyDeleteI used Lisa Eldrige's video she did on Marilyn's look. It's really interesting!
Thank you for getting back to me! :) I'll check it out. xox
DeleteWow! This really makes your porcelain skin stand out, it's fantastic!

Wow - it looks amazing! It feels like you and Esme and the laneway (http://esmeandthelaneway.blogspot.com.au/) have played hair swaps!
ReplyDeletehe he, I was just thinking that!! (and with delightful results!) x
Deletewow, it looks amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks incredible!!
ReplyDeleteI've been watching so many Marilyn tutorials, but I never can seem to get the eyeliner just right-- I always glob on too much on one eye and, rather than take it off, just make the other eye match.
Looks gorgeous, love the outfit too!
ReplyDeleteI still think it looks fantastic. It's really suits you x
ReplyDeleteThe hair looks great, very Bettie page! Also great makeup, really suits you.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! :) I'll chime in with everyone else and say that the darker color looks beautiful with your skin tone. It's fun to change it up, isn't it? I've only dyed my hair once (red using henna), mostly because people (especially professional colorists) always ask where I get my natural hair colored--I don't! ;) (It's genetics. hehe!) So right now I'm working on letting all the henna continue to fade out and am planning on doing some things to help lighten it back up this summer naturally. It was fun to play around with being a redhead for a bit though! ;)
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and makes your eyes really stand out. I always experiment with my hair- sometimes too much :)
ReplyDeleteI love dark hair with pale skin and eyes, so I think this looks fabulous on you. I never dye my hair - have contemplated it several time but I like it the colour it is and feel I'd just get into a vicious cycle if I started dying it. Perhaps I should just get a range of really high quality wigs!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in black! Fun with some changes sometimes :)
ReplyDeleteIt suits you very well!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Your make-up and hair are lovely! You can pull of so many different hair colors :)

Amazing! Black is perfect on you, it frames your face so beautifully :). I am thinking of going all black too, I always dye my hair dark brown.
ReplyDeleteI love your new hair! You look like a 1940s film star, the retro look suits you perfectly!

Oh my goodness! The new color looks stunning on you! Gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteBlack looks really beautiful on you, great colour!
ReplyDeleteI love playing with my hair :) So much in fact, I was fire truck red last summer. I miss it SO much, but I'm determined to let my hair go back to natural for now - it's too beaten up and unhappy for me to justify spending some money to dye it again.
Your new look really makes me wanna change it up again :( OH well
