Raven Black

I told you all I dyed my hair basically black and now you can reaaally see it.

I watched a tutorial about how Marilyn Monroe had her make up done, and I incorporated some of the things in my own make up so I felt very Marilyn with black hair today, ha.

It's hard getting used to how dark it is, but I think I like it. It's for sure a change, and I'm all for changes with my hair.

Do you like to experiment with your hair or do you like to play it safe?

xo,
 Em

  2. You look absolutely stunning with your hair black! It works very well with your coloring. And as an aside, your eyebrows are what dreams are made of.

I had the realization today that I've been coloring my hair red (as a filler before going brown) for nearly half a year now after being almost white blonde for eight or so months.

  8. Your hair looks incredible!!
I've been watching so many Marilyn tutorials, but I never can seem to get the eyeliner just right-- I always glob on too much on one eye and, rather than take it off, just make the other eye match.

  11. Gorgeous! :) I'll chime in with everyone else and say that the darker color looks beautiful with your skin tone. It's fun to change it up, isn't it? I've only dyed my hair once (red using henna), mostly because people (especially professional colorists) always ask where I get my natural hair colored--I don't! ;) (It's genetics. hehe!) So right now I'm working on letting all the henna continue to fade out and am planning on doing some things to help lighten it back up this summer naturally. It was fun to play around with being a redhead for a bit though! ;)

  13. I love dark hair with pale skin and eyes, so I think this looks fabulous on you. I never dye my hair - have contemplated it several time but I like it the colour it is and feel I'd just get into a vicious cycle if I started dying it. Perhaps I should just get a range of really high quality wigs!

  19. Black looks really beautiful on you, great colour!
I love playing with my hair :) So much in fact, I was fire truck red last summer. I miss it SO much, but I'm determined to let my hair go back to natural for now - it's too beaten up and unhappy for me to justify spending some money to dye it again.
Your new look really makes me wanna change it up again :( OH well
