The jacket that I'm wearing here is part of a beautiful 1940's suit. Sadly, the skirt is too tight for me to wear right now, but hopefully in a couple of months I'll be able to wear it as a set.
In life news I had to quit my third job because of a bad situation. I'm pretty bummed about it, but it's for the best. It's actually kind of nice, I get to come home and make sure the apartment is put to rights and cook dinner. I'm not gonna lie trying to have Ty cook dinner almost every night was a little bit stressful, ha. Speaking of Ty, he's working super hard on a big project for work, and will know in a few weeks if he gets the promotion, so we're holding our breath a little. It'll probably be a little bit before I can get those hair/make up tutorials going since he's my main camera man, but I promise they're in the works.

Oh my goodness I adore this outfit! Would you consider doing a skincare post? Your skin always looks flawless!
ReplyDeleteSoooo gorgeous, I was just thinking, with dark hair you remind me so much of Lady Sybil from Downton Abbey!
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Adele, I would love to know what products you use on your skin to keep it looking so flawless :)
Gorgeous jacket. That rich cranberry-esque hue is immensely becoming on you (especially with your newly darker again locks). I'm very sorry to hear that your new job didn't pan out favorably, that must be quite stressful on you both. Fingers crossed that whatever you pursue next goes infinitely better for you, dear Emma.

I am always in awe of your beauty! I agree with that very first comment; you have flawless skin! Do you have a skin routine or a holy grail make up product? xx
ReplyDeleteOh, hope he gets that promotion. We'll all be pulling for him!
ReplyDeleteOh that jacket is so beautiful ! I want a 40s suit so badly..!:) I hope Ty gets promotion!!
ReplyDeleteI just spent the last 20 minutes looking through your blog and I have to say I love your style. That 60s outfit from a few days ago was beautiful, and I love this dress paired with the jacket. Very cute! I hope your husband gets the promotion. My fingers are crossed!

I love the collar and the colour on the jacket.
ReplyDeleteOh the jacket is beautiful the fit and colour are perfect on you. Hope your lovely gets that promotion!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your job - was that the nannying job? I imagine it's all very emotional taking care of other people's children, so I hope it hasn't affected you too badly. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Ty's promotion!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous jacket! I love jackets from this era and have a couple I love to wear. ;) It looks great with the dress you've paired it with!
ReplyDeleteHaving had to quit jobs before because of bad situations, you have my sympathy. Just don't let it get to you too much. ;)
Sorry to hear about the job, I hope something better comes up soon :)

The color of that jacket is to die for. So gorgeous! And it will look amazing when paired with the skirt--can't wait to see it together!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your job, but at least it's for the best. x
My good luck to Ty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely raspberry hue! There's is something eternally swoon-worthy about '40s gabardine. And those pockets, cuuuuute.
ReplyDeleteI hope all these life transitions go smoothly & all works out for the very best!

What a beautiful jacket! I'm looking forward to seeing the whole suit. I often find that the skirts are MUCH smaller than the jackets, and as a result the whole set never fits me at once.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the job situation... I have my fingers crossed for more positive things to come your way!
Oh! I am catching up and you are looking as lovely as always! I hope your job situation works out, we are in a hellish situation work-wise too at the moment so you have my sympathy there dear! Enjoy cooking those meals though! And looking pretty until something better comes up! ;) All the best Zoë x
