The Best Jacket

The jacket that I'm wearing here is part of a beautiful 1940's suit. Sadly, the skirt is too tight for me to wear right now, but hopefully in a couple of months I'll be able to wear it as a set.

In life news I had to quit my third job because of a bad situation. I'm pretty bummed about it, but it's for the best. It's actually kind of nice, I get to come home and make sure the apartment is put to rights and cook dinner. I'm not gonna lie trying to have Ty cook dinner almost every night was a little bit stressful, ha. Speaking of Ty, he's working super hard on a big project for work, and will know in a few weeks if he gets the promotion, so we're holding our breath a little. It'll probably be a little bit before I can get those hair/make up tutorials going since he's my main camera man, but I promise they're in the works.

  2. Soooo gorgeous, I was just thinking, with dark hair you remind me so much of Lady Sybil from Downton Abbey!
I also agree with Adele, I would love to know what products you use on your skin to keep it looking so flawless :)

  3. Gorgeous jacket. That rich cranberry-esque hue is immensely becoming on you (especially with your newly darker again locks). I'm very sorry to hear that your new job didn't pan out favorably, that must be quite stressful on you both. Fingers crossed that whatever you pursue next goes infinitely better for you, dear Emma.

  10. I'm so sorry to hear about your job - was that the nannying job? I imagine it's all very emotional taking care of other people's children, so I hope it hasn't affected you too badly. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Ty's promotion!

Having had to quit jobs before because of bad situations, you have my sympathy. Just don't let it get to you too much. ;)

  14. What a lovely raspberry hue! There's is something eternally swoon-worthy about '40s gabardine. And those pockets, cuuuuute.

I hope all these life transitions go smoothly & all works out for the very best!

  15. What a beautiful jacket! I'm looking forward to seeing the whole suit. I often find that the skirts are MUCH smaller than the jackets, and as a result the whole set never fits me at once.
Sorry about the job situation... I have my fingers crossed for more positive things to come your way!
