Life has sent Ty and I some curve balls these last few weeks. Stressful times and grieving times. Life can often seem to drag on with one sad thing happening after another, but there are so many pleasant wonderful things to be thankful for, and I'm so glad that I have Tyler to walk through all of life's journeys with. Here are some of our snap shots of October.
Tyler and I escaped to Kentucky earlier this month. I lived a lot of my childhood there and it has wonderful memories. I miss the barns smoking tabacco and the feeling of being out in the middle of no where, where only peace can find you. It was so refreshing, we stayed in my grandparents old house.
I also adore Tennessee. When Tyler and I moved here to Nashville we thought we might be moving on sometime soon, but we have fallen so in love with it that I'm not sure we want to move away any time soon.
I love weekends here. I get to sleep in all cuddled up (and it's the best cuddling weather right now!) We always indulge in some of our favorite foods on the weekends. Coffee from Fido and some yummy Indian soup from my favorite place Bombay Palace.
And of course it's always wonderful to dress up and get new goodies.
Sometimes I feel like when you travel through situations that are hard to deal with or that cause you to grieve you can forget all the things in life that are beautiful and that you should be thankful for. So right now I'm thankful for my job and all the children I get to work with that make me smile. I'm thankful for a wonderful family I get to live near and love on. I'm thankful for a tender husband who takes care of me and who supports me on this road of life. I'm thankful for each morning I get to get up and enjoy this beautiful life.

Em

ReplyDeleteI'm to hear life has been rough on you lately, but well done on handling it with such grace. I really admire your positive outlook at the end of the post. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, it always makes life better to be positive I feel like.
DeleteYou are a lovely person, keep that beautiful outlook on life.
ReplyDeleteSweet Emma, I'm deeply sorry to hear that life has been throwing you so many curve balls and points of stress as of late. I'm an eternal optimist (or, as I usually like to call myself a "realistic optimist"), and share your positive outlook and desire to find the good and the joy, the sweetness and the smiles amongst even the roughest of patches. Still, no one likes hard times, and I hope with all my heart that life soon cuts you some slack and sends nothing but happiness your way.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that the world has been tough on you lately. I do sympathize... let us know if we can do anything to lighten the load, though we live far away. I love your snapshots of the pretty parts of life, it looks like you still have plenty to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteI have no words. Pure love.
ReplyDeleteSending a big hug over your way. Times like these are hard to say the least and they truly do make us stronger though our heart hurts deeply. My whole year last year was like this with losing 3 of my grandparents - my heart goes out to you. Wishing you and your family much peace during this time. xo Marisa
