Work Times

This week has been filled with a lot of holiday excitement for me. I realized Thanksgiving is this week...wow! Yesterday Ty and I went to my parents house and my mom and I started planning Thanksgiving dinner and bought presents for the kids. Ty and I also finished decorating our tree (yes, go ahead and judge me for putting the tree up before Thanksgiving). We already have some gifts under it, so it looks quite festive.

This is an outfit I wore to work this past week. I'm really happy to say that all the kids have gotten used to the way I look/dress that they don't even comment any more when I do something weird or different with my hair. I always used to get giggles from the 4 year old girls who would whisper "Miss Emma, your hair looks so silly". I would always respond "I know, Miss Emma looks silly a lot, doesn't she?" haha. Now they just want to touch my hair and wonder how it looks how it does.

The other day I was out on the playground with my class and one of the little girls ran up to me and said "I'm a bad guy! I'm gonna take all our lipstick and uuuuseee it!" *mimes rubbing her lips with lots of lipstick* not only did it make me laugh a lot, but I thought it was super funny that this little girl knew just what kind of bad guy would really get to me...take all my lipstick? Oh no.

 Em

  2. Awh those kids sound adorable - god knows we'd be powerless without our lipstick!
I think it's great you're getting into the festive spirit - out Christmas market opened yesterday and I'm desperate to go! Not allowing myself to listen to Christmas tunes until the 25th November though!

  3. Aw how adorable kids ! :) I want to decorate our home with christmas stuff already, at least add some the red curtains and pillows, but my boyfriend says it's too early.. I don't think so :D

  4. I love the colors you used for this outfit. They go so well together.

I wish we could have a christmas tree already. Since we want a real one we have to wait a couple of weeks because we have this stupid rule made by our local authority which prohibits selling christmas trees before the 6th of december.

By the way, I like your hair. I think if I was a 4 year old girl I'd be your number one fan! :)

  6. I love how practical but vibrant this look is!! The baby blue and rust look great together.
And I -really- want to add more vintage jeans to my wardrobe after seeing how cute your jeans outfits always are!

  7. Ha ha your kids sound like mischief! Love your jeans, they are going to be first on my list of new clothes once I've had the baby. Oh and good on you with the Christmas tree, I'm embarrassed to say that ours usually goes up on Christmas day in a made rush. Somehow celebrating Christmas in the middle of summer doesn't really get you in the mood for putting up tree's and getting festive... everybody would much rather be at the beach! x

  9. Not the lipstick! NOT THE LIPSTICK! :) What a cute up-do and I really just need to go ahead and bite the bullet on some Vivien of Holloway jeans. I think I saw some on Tasha at By Gum By Golly and was similarly impressed. Great outfit!

  11. That story is so darling - I'd be mighty miffed if a mugger got my Russian Red for sure! :) I adore this outfit, especially the colour palette and width of your jeans legs. Everything is so sweetly vintage and perfectly autumnal. I only wish I'd had a teacher with your amazing vintage fashion sense when I was growing up!
