Today I went out to lunch with the lovely Lisa of My Pretty Baby Cried She Was A Bird. She's seriously a super fun lady and we had a great lunch (even though our original plans of going to a tea house were crushed by the tea room moving spaces this week...bummer). Here's what I wore:
I found this amazing 40's suit (sadly the skirt is too small for my hips) at the Nashville Flea Market, and knew it had to be mine. In fact I did some pretty good cleaning up there last weekend, and I'm sure you'll eventually see all the goodies I purchased on here. I adore the color blue, but I don't have a ton of it in my wardrobe so even more reason for me to get it. Plus, when I got home I realized it went really well with a darling hat Ty had gotten me for Christmas. It was meant to be.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteI did a post a long while ago on some of my usual's, but this particular one is from Dita Von Teese's line Art Deco and it's Maitresse. It's probably my favorite lipstick at the moment.

Ohhh that powder blue really brings out your beautiful blue eyes! I love your little hat, it's so darling :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that place up and closed on us! But I still had a hoot and holler, in spite of the venue change. :) I'm really bad about incorporating solid color into my vintage wardrobe. It either has to be wild pattern prints or basically black a lot of the time for me, but this suit and hat combo serves as an inspiration-- the powder blue is really pretty, and they matched up like they were made to go together! Flea market finds for the wiiiiiiiin!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, I love the jacket, the colour looks great on you xx

The shade of blue of both your jacket and your lovely hat, really brings out the color of your eyes. You should wear blue more often as it compliments you so well.
