I finally got my hair cut yesterday! It's very different and thank goodness for that. I really needed a change, it was driving me a wee crazy not having changed it in so long. I adore the cut and can't wait to experiment with lots of 20's and 30's styles. As of right now it's in pin curls and I'm anxiously awaiting to see the results.
The one thing I'm not looking forward to doing (only because it's going to look awkward) is finally getting all the color out of my hair. It's demi color but my hair dresser said some of it will still have to grow out (ugh) so for the next several months my color is gonna look mighty janky. At least it'll be exciting to finally see my natural color again.
I'll try to get some good photos of it set/different styling in the near future.
xo,
Em
Your ability to pull off literally any hairstyle will never cease to amaze me!:) Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLooks great and I hope you're enjoying your Labor Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out great! Can't wait to see what you'll do with it!

I saw this on instagram and I have to say I absolutely love it! Can't wait to see you style it up :) I feel you pain on the growing out hair dye stages. Two years ago I grew out a red/orange color to go back to my naturally very dark brown/black color. I looked crazy at the half and half point! You'll be happy when it's over though, no worries :)

ReplyDeleteOooh how fun! I can't wait to see what styles you come up with! I'm half between growing my hair or cutting it about that length right now, but since I can't decide I haven't done anything. lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bob
ReplyDeleteI got a very similar hair cut about a month ago (except I'm also growing out bangs) and it's actually really great for short 50s do's too!
ReplyDeleteLooks fab - looking forward to seeing the pin curls too!

You are so brave! I am an irrational fear of changing my hair....it's been the same style since I was 5 ;0
ReplyDeleteYou are SO beautiful no matter what hair do or color. ♥
ReplyDeleteWOW
Looks so fresh! Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG i cannot believe you cut your hair! I mean I always thought the faux bang is a signature look of yours but I love this fresh cut! :) :)
ReplyDeleteyou looked better before when you had your 1940's pinup look, now it's more like a femme fatale from the 1980's, that's sad you changed your look like that, you were really cute before....
ReplyDeleteyou look so pretty x
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks amazing, I love the snazzy new cut!

Waow!!! I think you have need a lot of courage to decide to cut them!!!
ReplyDeleteI want a change for months but never managed to make a decision... I'm dying to see what kind of style you will be able to make with this cut!
Aah looks stunning on you, such a lovely length! xxx
ReplyDeleteIt looks absolutely gorgeous! Please let us know how the pincurls turn out. My hair is around your length and I've been too afraid to attempt them so far. And I know the feeling of having to let color "wear off", but it'll be out in no time :) I can't wait to see all the cute new styles you try out!

So cute. You can totally morph your look completely with different hair! Are you naturally strawberry blonde!??! I know it will suck to grow it out but itll look so good.
ReplyDeleteThere is such a sophisticated, timeless elegance to this cut. It looks simply incredible on you and reminds of a modern day (bangs-less) take on Louise Brooks' classic bob.

Gorgeous! You really suit this length!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I suits you so much :)

Awesome!! You look fab! I love double-duty (and triple-duty) haircuts that can be styled into different decades. Can't wait to see how you style it. I just cut 6" off my length (grazing shoulder length) and love how freeing it feels!
ReplyDeleteViola :)
Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe length suits you.
It's sleek, straigth and just the right look.
Gorgeous.

cute! i like a sleek bob like that. i know what you mean, i stopped dying my hair a little over a year ago. my hair grows SOO slowly...so my roots are just now growing into the hair that hangs down (not just the top of my head). it's a slow and painful process :\ hopefully your hair grows like lightning! it'll be interesting to see ombre on a bob?
ReplyDeleteI am VERY excited to see all of the 20s and 30s styles you are going to do :D Can't wait!
ReplyDeletewow, i never expected to see you with a short bob - but it looks fantastic on you! can't wait to see you play around with this new hair ...
ReplyDeleteI love it

You look gorgeous, Em! I'm excited to see what styles you come up with. And don't worry about the color looking weird while it's growing out. I'm sure you could use that time to get creative with your hair as well. :)
