it feels like summer time

Today it felt like summer. That's one of the things about Tennessee. It changes seasons before you know it. We very well could have another cold snap, but for right now it's already feeling a little hot. It's 83 currently, whew.

too much of a good thing?

Ok, sooo, maybe I've gone crazy for these scarves. I just really really love them. They are so perfect for when you have to run to classes in the mornings and don't want to mess with your hair.

Tomorrow is my hearing, and needless to say, I feel like...tomorrow is my hearing. If anybody wants to be thinking of me/praying for me around 12:30 ish tomorrow that would be wonderful.

Today has been lovely, but suuuper windy. It's making me long for summer. For school to be done, and to lay in the grass in summer time dresses, and go swimming. Ohhh, summer time.

I promise my next outfit post will not include a scarf on my head.

The Scarf

I have a feeling this scarf is going to start appearing a lot in my every day wardrobe. I wore it yesterday, and it just felt like the perfect thing to wear again today.

Today is much nicer than yesterday, a tad chilly, but much better. The sun is out, and I can feel the approach of the weekend. That's right, it's only Tuesday, but I'm already looking forward to the weekend.

Stormy Weather

I know today would usually be 10 things I love Monday, but I've decided to skip it, and try to fit it in later on this week.

Monday is always a rough day, but today, so far, has not been the best. We had tornado warnings mid-day, which are always scary, and I'm starting to freak out a little bit over my hearing this Thursday. A hearing is where you have to have all of your recital material prepared and sing whatever the voice teachers ask for. You can either pass or fail your hearing...I'm crossing my fingers for passing. I've been working so hard on my music, but memorizing is always hard for me, so after I'm done with this post I'm off to the practice rooms. Oh Mondays.

I've been waiting for some warm weather to wear this super cheery green skirt, I felt today would be appropriate; hoping it would help lift my mood a bit.

I was trying to keep all my hair in place as the wind was trying to whip it about my face.

I'm sorry my outfit posts of late have been in the same location (aka right behind my apartment), as soon as the weather clears up Tyler and I will be able to venture into fields to take more pictures.

I've been searching around for a pair of little white frilly socks, does anybody know a good place to get some?

I'm off to do some practicing, here's to hoping this Monday improves a bit!

Sarah's Dress

This weekend has been so lovely. Tyler and I went up to Nashville on Friday and had a tasty dinner and gave Jesse his birthday presents (my little brother Jesse turned 13 on Thursday!) and then I gave the rest of my family their gifts from Italy. On Saturday we went and played a couple intense games of laser tag at Laser Quest in Nashville. I had never played laser tag before, and I actually enjoyed it. It was really fun to play with my family, we can all get super intense when it comes to playing games, especially with each other. For dinner we went and ate INDIAN FOOD. I have been craving some awesome Indian food since before I left for Italy, so it was about time to get that craving fixed. I was sad to leave...Jackson leaves much to be desired.

When I'm in Nashville my sister usually gives me a dress she's thrifted or a hair piece she's recently made. This time she had her newly made dress...that I kinda just took. I promise I'll give it back, Sarah.

I completely love everything about the dress, and so she promised me she would make me something for the summer time, I'm so excited!

New Bangs

Last night I was bored, and I had been contemplating doing something to my hair, so I decided to cut my bangs.

I may end up cutting them a bit thicker, but I think they turned out pretty well. Also, I used hot rollers for the first time, and I completely love them! They are super easy, and for me, they worked so much better than a curling iron.

Lost

Last night, after taking tons of vitamins, I felt a lot better. Then, I lost my voice. Today, I feel so so, but I have a nice Z-Pack to take care of me, so I'm hopeful.

I had a friend of mine dye my hair last night, my first at home dying experience! It turned out wonderfully. The only thing was that the roots didn't get full coverage, so that'll need to be fixed a bit. I will for sure keep this up, it's so much cheaper than going to the salon.

Those shoes

The opera is over! It was a great performance, and I really enjoyed being a part of it, but I'm very happy it's over. I'll post some pics of it soon.

Now that the opera is over, there is a great weight lifted in my school life, only to be replaced by tests, and my looming senior recital. It also means that the choir tour to Italy is closer, and that's super exciting! School goes on.

I'm going home to Nashville this weekend to look for venues for the wedding! I also hope to get in some much needed thrifting with my sistersIt'll be a lovely weekend.

Snow...again

Today was another snowy-ish day.  It snowed, but sadly, class wasn't canceled, and the snow quickly started melting away. It made it really tricky to go out and take pictures. It was muddy and slushy, but Ty was a sport and we made it work!

I wasn't actually crying in the last picture; it was just so cold and windy that my eyes started watering.

In really good news, j-term is almost over! Then the real semester will begin, boo. I'm dreading the weekend end a bit, because even though j-term will be over, there will be a lot of opera rehearsals (for the opera Dido and Aeneas I'm going to be in here at school) and that's always a bit of a load.

The hat

For my outfit post Ty and I went out by the small pond by the apartment complex. I'm really going to have to start finding some interesting places to take picture in Jackson.

Tyler got jealous of my lovely hat, so he gave it a go.

I'm pretty sure he was mocking me.

Baby, it's cold outside

Today started out cold and dreary... I didn't have too much hope for it. This was added to the fact that when I got to my class this morning I realized I had studied the wrong material for my quiz, never a good thing. I had lost all hope for my day--- when it got turned around. It started snowing AND it kept snowing! Such a good thing on so many levels. It means that school might get canceled, that the cold day was now acceptable because it was snowing, and that my first outfit posts would be in the snow.

I have never taken photos outside in the winter with no coat, but I was determined to be at least a semi-good sport about it. I think I held up pretty good, though I think my boyfriend might say I was a little whiny.

Because the weather was so amazing with the snow coming down in droves, I changed to one of my favorite outfits and the boyfriend and I took to the streets of Jackson to do a little more photographing.

All photo credit goes to Tyler

When neither of us could bare the cold any more we rushed back to the car, only to find this super interesting bug had parked next to us. So, I took a picture next to it, I hope the owners didn't see me and think I was trying to steal their car.

It was such a lovely day full of photos and snow.
